Instructor

Lavinna King is a native New Yorker who has called Atlanta home since 1996. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Howard University and a Master’s degree in Education from Georgia State University. Lavinna taught in Atlanta Public Schools for five years before beginning her homeschooling journey.

She has been homeschooling since 2000, educating not only her own children but also many other students within the homeschool community over the years.

Lavinna enjoys traveling and discovering great food. She has been happily married to her wonderful husband for 26+ years and is the proud mother of two sons—one who has graduated from college and another she continues to homeschool.
